The ruins of palace inside Bidar Fort are quite a delight to watch. One can only imagine how The Turkish Queen and the Barid Shahi Sultans used to live the Arabian Nights right here at Bidar. The fort was orginally built by Bahamani Sultan Ahmad Shah Wali in 1429 AD.

A great weekend escape from Hyderabad. Also recommended is a visit to Gulburga.
